Crisp, sunny winter days are apon us and skiing conditions are fantastic. This photo shows the super pipe in the heart of the Avoriaz skiing area, and plenty of keen skiiers making the most of the sunshine.
If you are tempted to come and experience the slopes of Avoriaz for yourself, please don't hesitate to get in contact. We have various availability and some amazing special offers to welcome in the New Year.

Chalet Etoile Cooking Training

Here is Ollie, our Chalet Host at Chalet Etoile preparing his delicious Beef Wellington for a pre-season dinner party. Before each season we host a series of dinner parties where the new members of our team can get in the swing of things and make themselves at home in their new kitchens. We have all eaten very, very well.
We are now all counting down the days before we can welcome our first guests. Our next challenge is to put up the Christmas trees and to get well and truly into the festive mood, as well as a spot of skiing of course!

Day One Chalet Cooking Training

Day One of Cooking Training.
What an awesome team - everyone has been slaving away in the kitchens learning the new winter menu for this season. We have feasted on delicious meals all through the day.
This photo shows Carol, Rachel, Stu and Matt showing off a few of their sample meals today.
You can see Chicken stuffed with pine nuts, ricotta and apricots, wrapped in bacon and served with Brunnoise vegetables and Dauphinoise potatoes, along with Spanish Pork with Chorizo, green olives, and saffron served with lemon and parsley cous cous with French Beans and at the back is a delicious Baked Raspberry Cheesecake.

Chalet Etoile and the New Sugar Mountain Team 2010-2011

Well December has arrived. Three very important things have happened!

1 - the snow just keeps falling

2 - we have take some fantastic photos of our lovely new Chalet Etoile.
3 - we get to welcome our new Sugar Mountain Team to Morzine.

The Chalet is looking absolutely fabulous having been lovingly built by local family Fournet. It is full of traditional Savoyarde features and mod cons.

Mmmmm think underfloor heating, cosy log fire, big flat screen tv, gorgeous views........
On another note, two new members of this season's Sugar Mountain team arrived late last night and Lorna has driven down to Geneva to pick up the other three. We are very excited as we think they are all wonderful. Staff training begins on Wednesday and we will be keeping you updated with photos and a snippit of what it is like to be a Chalet Host at Sugar Mountain!
